Weird Al Yankovic just kicked off an extensive summer tour on July 2 that runs through Sept. 3.
The 36-city U.S. tour includes stops at the Meadow Brook Music Festival in Rochester Hills, Mich.; the California State Fair in Sacramento on Aug. 1; and the Northwest and Southwest Washington Fair on Aug. 17 and 18 in Lynden and Chehalis, respectively.
Al is continually adding new tour dates. The latest additions include Aug. 10 at The Warfield in San Francisco; Aug. 12 at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix; and Aug. 20 at The Henderson Pavilion in Henderson, Nev.

Weird Al Yankovic has announced that he has signed a long term contract with Cartoon Network to produce a variety of material including a series, animation and live action feature films. Yankovic comments that the network “was open to anything.”
The first project that has been confirmed is a live action feature film. Weird Al will be directing the feature as well as writing the script. As for the starring role, “Cartoon Network had requested that I develop a show with a much younger protagonist, which will most likely be a teenager.” ( Read More…)

Weird Al Yankovic lost out on the Grammy Award for “Best Comedy Album” for “Internet Leaks,” but the album is still gaining acclaim all over, and Weird Al Yankovic tickets are on sale now for shows this summer.
“Internet Leaks” includes parodies of T.I’s “Whatever You Like,” “Craiglist,” “Skipper Dan,” “CNR” and “Ringtone.”
Yankovic can be seen in a number of shows this summer, including some stops in California.
